International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a holiday marked annually as a focal point in the women’s rights movement. IWD gives focus to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.

Taking place on 8 March, many governments and organisations mark the occasion by celebrating the role and rights of women across the world.
