Description
Switchboard is a charity for LGBTQ people looking for a sense of community, support or information. We connect people and support them directly through specially developed Switchboard services or link them other specialist organisations.
Services
- Domestic Abuse service for LGBTQ+ people affected by domestic abuse. We provide support to survivors through our Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs).
- Helpline for support and information and will connect you to the right LGBTQ services or advice.
01273 204050 Mon – Thurs 7 – 9.30pm - Trans survivors helpline Sunday 3-5pm 01273 359042 provides support and information to trans and/or non-binary people. Operated by trans and/or non-binary volunteers; you can talk to them confidentially about anything that’s on your mind. They talk to people about a range of things, specialising on those who have experienced crime, including sexual violence at any point in their life.
- Older People’s group for those aged 50+ looking for a sense of community, support or information.
- Dementia Project for LGBTQ people with dementia or concerned about memory loss and their carers.
- IRIS is a free service for LGBTQ+ refugees, asylum seekers and migrants and those questioning their sexuality and/or gender identity.
- Grief Project is a peer support group for LGBTQ people who have experienced a bereavement.
